Background: Laminated glass has been wildly employed in automobile windshields, modern buildings, etc. due to its security and durability performance whose mechanical properties are more complicated than those of single glass due to brittleness of glass, hyper-elasticity of PVB interlayer and the coupled influence of both formers. Accordingly, considerable numerical and experimental researches were carried out to investigate its mechanical characteristics, especially the fracture behavior under the impact load.

Purpose: To capture the fracture pattern of laminated glass and to optimize the structure of laminated vehicle windshield and reappear the pedestrian-vehicle accidents and the accident identification with help of the captured fracture patterns in the future.
